There is a crazy last minute flight deal from Regina to Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Here's how to find it...
You may remember that back around Labour Day there were some ridiculously cheap flights to Los Cabos, Mexico.
Well it looks like AirCanadaVacations has dropped another one, for anyone that can leave last minute.

No matter how many times I tell people that airfare prices can't be predicted, this question always comes up in some form or another, so I've decided to write an article that I can start referencing people to.
For the record, asking 'Is this a good price?' is essentially the same question, just worded differently. They both depend on what future airfare prices will be.
The truth is, even the airlines themselves don't know what fares they'll be cutting. They plan on selling X number of seats for X number of dollars, and if that doesn't happen, they may find it necessary to drop the price to fill those seats. Or it can be a result of a competitor dropping their price on a certain route, which is an unpredictable event.
The demand for those seats can be influenced by *so* many variables, from the overall health of the economy, to whether or not people feel like flying there this year, to when or where the next flu epidemic hits.
The prices are reactionary to events beyond anyone's control, which is what makes them unpredictable, by you, me, or anyone else.
That being said, there are certain generalities that can apply, depending on the destination. Just keep in mind these are simply things I've learned from obsessively watching airfares, and there's never any guarantee of anything in the world of travel prices.
There's a last minute flight from Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Saskatoon, or Regina to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for $249 roundtrip after tax.

Yup, there's another one of those really cheap flights to Montego Bay, Jamaica. In fact, this is the cheapest flight to Jamaica from Calgary that I've ever seen (the one in early January was $20 more).
Air Canada Vacations just dropped the price of their March 2-9 flights from Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal to Montego Bay, Jamaica down to around $225 to $230 roundtrip after tax (prices vary by a few dollars between each city)

There looks to be a significant price drop on flights to Italy from various cities across Canada.
Air Canada looks to be leading the way, dropping the price of flights to Rome by about 35% from most cities.

I'm guessing with all the news about Mexico lately, there must be a lot of half empty planes heading to Mexico City, because Air Canada just dumped the price of pretty much *every* flight between now and up to about the end of October by nearly 50%.
Great deals from Saskatchewan to Central America are pretty rare. The bottom price is usually around $900-$1000 roundtrip after tax.

But if you take a look at March 1 to 15 on Orbitz, from Regina to San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO) you'll see a flight for $675 roundtrip after tax.
