These days, prices from Halifax to Western Canada rarely seem to dip too much below $700 roundtrip after taxes, especially for summer travel.
However there seems to be a few freak fares in late June and early July in the Air Canada system that are going for nearly 40% less. True discounts (not the marketing nonsense from Westjet/AC/Porter) on flights within Canada are extremely rare so I get pretty excited when I see them.
Here are some examples:

There's now a cheap flight from Edmonton to London, UK in June on Air Transat.
Here's how to find it...

Air Transat just dropped some of their last minute flights. Here's how to find them...
Update 1 - This was a popular one. It appears it may be sold out. At least, I'm getting an 'outbound flight cannot be found' message on FlightCentre, and really expensive results on AirCanadaVacations.com now.
Update 2 - Looks like they've added more cheap seats from Calgary. Can see them again on AirCanadaVacations.com for January 16-23. No such luck from Edmonton, Regina, Saskatoon.

If you've been following my posts for at least a year, you might remember the crazy price drops to Jamaica that occurred in late 2010 and early 2011.
There were no signs of them this winter, until today. Could this be the start of them again ?

You may remember that back around Labour Day there were some ridiculously cheap flights to Los Cabos, Mexico.
Well it looks like AirCanadaVacations has dropped another one, for anyone that can leave last minute.

Delta just made a large unadvertised price cut on their flights to Newark (EWR). It seems to have affected flights all the way up to August of 2012. Anyone thinking of going to New York in the next year may want to have a look today.

While you do often see Air Transat discount their flights from Calgary to European cities, it's really rare to see it from Edmonton for some reason. And the major airlines rarely make cuts from either city.

If you've been following my posts lately you know that prices to plenty of major cities in Asia have been dropping like a rock lately. The focus seems to be on fares up to end of October/early November.

There seems to be one of those freak price drops on United at the moment. I do see these on rare occasion, where they affect prices throughout many months in their schedule, all the way up to a year ahead.

I just posted an Air Canada promo code in the Promo Codes section of the forums that gives 15% off any Tango or Tango Plus flight.

For the promo code to be *really* useful, it needs to be used on a route where Air Canada is already the cheapest (No point in getting 15% off on a flight that's 20% more expensive).
